Twenty Twenty Two

When we look back on the previous year, we have the opportunity to consider our experiences, successes, lessons learned, mistakes, miracles, blessings, etc. It is a way to evaluate if we achieved our goals for the year; some people might have achieved all their goals, whereas others might have achieved partially or not at all.

Basically, looking back on the last year helps us gauge our growth, examine ourselves, and inspires us to perform better in the future. It also helps to be appreciate the seemingly small victories. No matter what is going on, I would advise you to give yourself some flowers.

Cultivate the habit of counting your blessings.  Although there may have been some ups and downs but I guess you are not where you used to be. Also, acknowledge your errors and consider how you may improve moving forward.

Reflecting shouldn't lead to living a life filled with regrets and overthinking about missed opportunities. A few events that were beyond your control may have made you feel like it was your worst year, but keep the faith—God is still with you. To improve your life in the coming year, make an effort to intentionally reflect on the last year.

I've been taking some time each year to reflect on the prior year, and it has really helped me live a life of gratitude. 2022 was a significant year. My theme for the year was "bearing fruits" and honestly, I have to bring up the year 2022 when I discuss spiritual growth, healing, and faith in God. At a point, when the year did not seem to be going as I hoped, I remember asking questions but truly, that happened to be the year for bearing fruits for me but God took me through a process of genuine growth.

Today, I am grateful to God for the growth. God is forever faithful. The year taught me to plant my roots deeply in Jesus Christ because when we are deeply rooted in Him, the storm may come, but nothing can break us. I am extremely grateful to God for the huge and small victories, the birth of new things, and the gift of life. I am eternally grateful to God for everything. I still recall being on my way to church on January 5, 2022 when my vehicle somersaulted three (3) times. I didn't think I would survive, but God preserved me, God brought me out unscratched.  I will always be thankful to God. In fact, God extended mercy to me all through the year.

Even if I didn't completely accomplish my goals, I am still alive to grow and do better by God's grace. But nevertheless, I believe I deserve some flowers still. Thank you, Jesus, for all 365 days of the year Twenty Twenty Two (2022).

In this new year, I hope to have a better experience, and I pray for the wisdom to discern God's little nods in everything. This new year, Twenty Twenty Three (2023) is my own "year of GOD and giant strides (G&g year)".  Amen

In my thirties!
